Steve Irwin dying on my birthday was a shock to say the least. The country was devastated and was pretty much the only thing people talked about for days. We had always planned to go to the park and were a little unsure if it would be totally crazy after what had happened but it was really great. The tributes and flowers out the front were something to behold. Inside the park though, things seemed to go on as normal.
All morning Ferry kept saying "I want to see a kangaroo, I want to see a kangaroo". Afterward he said "I dont think I ever need to see another kangaroo in my life." There were so many to see and pat and they were very friendly.
This one was holding my hands as he ate. It was soooo cute.
